Without a doubt, the Explorer UNLESS you are considering the IWC Mark with the date but even then as cool as that is I still say the Explorer. If you must have a date Rolex has plenty of other option.
I like my Explorer 39, but I find the IWC more legible in more light conditions, and more under-the-radar generally, and it gets more wear.
