The Date Wheel Overlay is a thin stainless steel overlay with gen or gen like font dates printed on it. It has to be manually attached or glued to the 2824 movement's original date wheel in order to display dates in the right position of a gen Rolex 3135 movement in a rep watch. Is this a "genuine" 2824-2? I am no expert, but it seems the writing on the bridge is different compared to online images. If I zoom I can not see "auto-prince", but it seems like it says "25 Rubies Geneve Swiss". I have a genuine Rolex 1500 case, crystal, dial and crown. I am wanting to complete this build, obviously prices on gen movements are too pricey. I have read about putting in 2824-2 movements.
To use a Rolex dial with date window and with original dial feet on ETA be aware that an origin ETA date-wheel doesn’t fit between the Rolex dial feet. Therefore the ETA date-wheel need to be milled down in diameter and some additional work has to be done. The problem with searching for watch dials on places like aliexpress and ebay is that you will get a few dials but mostly watches returned as results. However, if you search "zifferblatt [name of movement]" your results should be almost entirely dials that will fit . Here I test fitted a 2824-2 mainplate in a genuine 1002 case. The 1002 case is made for the non date 1530/1570 movement. The stem is slightly off center. It is still workable, but if you want perfect stem alignment, you will have to sand the back of your dial in order for the movement to sit deeper.
