I recently tried a 36mm Explorer on my 7” wrist and to me it looked very small (probably because I’m used to seeing my 42mm Explorer II). Regardless, I love a smaller watch and am glad to see others not caring as well. Wow that looks insanely perfect! I have a . I usually prefer smaller watches between 34mm-39mm, but my honest opinion is that on your wrist, the 36mm looks really insignificant. perhaps that might change if the bracelet was attached with you retaking photos against a darker background.
If you share that perspective, go for the 39mm. If your goal isn't to go as big as you can "pull off," and you prefer the understated look, go 36mm. Either way, at most 50% of people will notice you're wearing a watch, and at most half of those will notice the manufacturer.
